The Scoop
Here’s a word from Over The Top Flower Shop on how this took place…
“High school sweethearts Taylor and Danielle are two of the kindest souls we know. When Taylor (my brother!) asked if our team could help set the scene for a perfect proposal, we were all in! Our floral team began scheming to create a setting more romantic than The Bachelor at one of Taylor and Danielle’s favorite local spots, Ashton Creek Vineyard. We knew since they frequented Ashton Creek’s tasting room, Danielle wouldn’t suspect Taylor popping the question during their visit.
From the get-go, Lisa envisioned a large floral statement piece to welcome family and friends to the surprise engagement party following the proposal. After seeing a large metal hoop at a local antique shop, her wheels started turning! She was able to work with a welder to create the perfect base for the arrangement she was envisioning (Taylor and Danielle have requested the same statement piece for the altar of their upcoming wedding!)
To pull off such an extravagant surprise, we enlisted the help of our friends at Ashton Creek Vineyard and one of our favorite photographers, Caiti Garter. Our team set a beautiful picnic space in the vineyard where Taylor got down on one knee and asked Danielle to marry him. After a quick photo-op with Caiti, family and friends began to arrive and we toasted the future Mr. and Mrs. in Ashton Creek’s beautiful event space. The day was magical, and Taylor pulled off the surprise without a hitch!”
What we love:
The fact that this was a surprise engagement makes it all the more romantic and whimsical, and the circle arch, how amazing is that?
LOVE that the couple plan to incorporate it in the ceremony as their arch, to say their vows in front of.
Add a vineyard setting, include the family in this special moment, celebrate with champagne, include lovely appetizers and cakes, gorgeous flowers, and you have all the feels!
