The Henricus Foundation hosted an evening of Philanthropy and 17th century merriment on Friday- September 19th at the Henicus Historical Park overlooking the James River Bluff.
It was a beautiful evening where attendees had the opportunity to preview the Church and Meeting Hall- that is in the process of being built at the park. This amazing venue when complete – will be available for weddings. The entire park is available for weddings – and I got a first hand look at the possibilities when I attended the dinner and preview- which benefited the education programs that are held at the Park for school children every year.
The rustic park with authentically re-created 17th century buildings – twinkling with candlelight- lent a magical feel- as did the 17th century music played by re-in-actors from Colonial Williamsburg. Not to mention the breath taking view of the James River!
