Rain, Rain, Go Away…Don’t forget to take the Hot Sun with you!!!!

Hey Everyone!!

I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend and enjoyed their time with friends and family. As promised I am answering some questions and concerns that bride’s JUST LIKE YOU have asked Virginia Bride Magazine.

As a bride we have many concerns about our wedding day. We concern ourselves with the wedding dress, cake, catering, flowers, and we worry about the wedding day rain jitters. Although rain is considered good luck on the day of the wedding we all dread seeing overcast clouds and big fat rain drops due to our long and thoughtful planning for our weddings BUT we often forget the consequences of having a gorgeous sun filled day!

Brides! This is important to think about. Why, you may ask? Your wedding day is just like any other day and if you have chosen a summer wedding the sun will be HOT and may cause you to sweat! You may also want to invest in a great sunscreen because there is a possibility of getting burnt! Choose a SPF that is higher than you usually use and make sure to apply 20 minutes before the service. There are some sunscreens that are GREAT for sensitive skin.

Another thing to look for on a sunny day is squinty eyes 😉 Make sure your photographer positions you in a flattering way that is NOT going to make you feel “Blinded By the Light”. Take breaks in the air conditioning if you have an indoor/outdoor venue! That way the hot sun will not leave you feeling like you’ve been walking around an amusement park all day!!

These are just some tips to make your wedding day PERFECT! Any weather is great weather for a wedding. Hope this helps all the amazing bride’s and bride’s to be!
