Four years ago, graphic designer Christine and house renovator Melvin met and it was a whirlwind of love that brought them to the reciting their wedding vows on October 26, 2019, at the Historic Polegreen Church.
The open-air church is a unique structure in the shape of a church without walls or a ceiling, allowing the sun to shine down on the couple as a breeze blows through giving the ceremony an ethereal feel.
Both creative types, the two bonded over renovating houses together. As they say, the couple who plays together stays together, and in this case, the couple who works together definitely stays together.
With a glamorous outdoor wedding ceremony and their reception under a tent, Christopher’s Flowers set the mood with red roses as a highlight.
Christine wowed guests in her lace top gown, fitted from the waist down. With make up done to perfection by Jordan Simpson and hair by Shine Blow Dry Bar, the bride was even more breathtaking than the majestic nature backdrop.
Melvin looked dapper in his tux from the Prop Shop as he stood watching his bride walk down the aisle and into his arms.
The wedding cake by Cake Art Divas was not the only decadent treat. Guests were treated to Baklava by Greek on Cary.
The couple are now flipping a house together in Lakeridge, VA where the two reside. The creative duo continue renovating together, always brainstorming and coming up with unique ideas. Both family centric, the newlyweds enjoy grilling year round and spending time with each other’s families. In fact, their own family may be in the works soon! We wish this couple a blessed life of true happiness.
