The Ward Center for Contemporary Arts in Petersburg, VA set the stage for today’s real wedding.
Ellen, the daughter of a fire chief, met her hubby to be when she went up to the fire station to get some air in her tire. The pair locked eyes and Ellen said she knew he was the one. She moved away for a year though so nothing bloomed until she returned and started working in the Emergency Department at the local hospital. She said her first day, he came into the hospital in his yellow fire gear, they locked eyes again, and the rest was history! If that’s not destiny, I don’t know what is!
Ellen’s stunning strapless gown was topped off with a veil as her father escorted her down the aisle.
At the end of the aisle was her sweet groom, Dominique. He’s tearing up…how cute!
Shortly after, they were man and wife!
From that moment on, they didn’t take their eyes off each other!
So much happiness…
I love that she has his fire helmet on here!
And would you look at their wedding party! I love the men’s teal bowties and don’t even get me started on those sequin gowns! I wish I had been one of Ellen’s bridesmaids!
With the help of her bridesmaids, Ellen decorated the space with hues of blue to match the blue diamond engagement ring Dominique had designed for her.
I love their sparkly head table!
And of course, no wedding is complete without a hashtag! Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Wright!
From the Bride:
What was your favorite detail of the day? “I would have to say the speeches, to hear from our family and friends how much they admire our love or how they were inspired by us was truly amazing and we got a lot of great advice!”
What advice would you give to a bride to be? “My advice would be to stay calm and write everything down! It’s so easy to forget the little things when planning.”
