When you give a mouse a cookie, it’s bound to want a glass of milk. When I was told that tomorrow is the first day of fall, I immediatly thought about Christmas! So, in the spirit of that, today’s real wedding that took place last December is holiday inspired and oh so beautiful! #ilovechistmas
The bride, Martyna, stunned in a white beaded gown with fur shrug. In my mind, you can’t have a winter wedding without fur and Martyna nailed it! So glam.
She met her groom, Drew, pictured here before their first look, while she was working for his family’s company. As time passed, they became friends and went through milestones with one another. Eventually, Martyna realized she had feelings for him and the pair started dating.
His smile, instantaneous upon seeing his bride for the first time, is brightening my Wednesday immensely. Such a genuine happiness.
And look at them together! Ahhhh, like an ABC Family Christmas princess movie!
You know you’ve found the right guy when he can make you laugh like Martyna is here.
Martyna’s timeless style showed through in her choice of bridesmaid attire as well.
The dark teal dresses with cream colored saws are perfect for the time of year and compliment Martyna’s look perfectly.
The men contrasted the ladies in grey suits and maroon ties. Very unexpected but I love it.
The ceremony took place at the Bon Air Christian Church in Bon Air, Virginia which held a huge significance to the bride. Martyna is from Poland and 26 years ago this church sponsored her and her family to travel to the US from a refugee camp in Germany.
The beautiful building set the stage for a beautiful union.
Nothing like love at Christmas time <3
The day turned into night and the couple held their reception waterside at the Boathouse.
Holiday details adorned each table.
This display has to be my fav from the day! I don’t have to be able to read that sign to know that I want a bite of each!
Looks like this couple has enough sweets already 😉 congrats you two!
From the Bride:
What was your favorite detail of the day? “My favorite detail of the day would be how happy I was. I could not stop smiling and I felt like I was floating. A few times I did have to pinch myself because I thought it was all a dream.”
What advice would you give to a bride to be? “My advice to a bride would be is to try not to stress and remember what the day is really supposed to be about. You’re going to running around like a mad person in the months coming up to the wedding day and will face a lot of bumps. But in the end no one will ever notice is the flowers aren’t right or the colors aren’t perfect. It’s not about impressing everyone and having the biggest, best wedding, it’s about you marrying the person of your dreams, the love of your life. And having everyone dear to your heart experience that special moment with you.”
