Real Wedding Wednesday: Nicole and Chris

In November of this year, Chris and Nicole were married on the Cherry Blossom Riverboat in Old Town, Alexandria VA.

Nicole had met Chris when he was her physical fitness instructor during training for her job with the Department of Homeland Security.

Their big day was special for so many reasons but a big one was that Chris has his son as his best man!

Aren’t they adorable?!

After getting ready, Chris and Nicole had a first look because they wanted a special moment just for the two of them. “I was very nervous so it helped with my jitters!” recalled Nicole.

Just look at the bliss on their faces! I love the pops of red too! Perfectly festive for the time of year!

And would you look at that gown! From the lace back detail to the long train, I am in awe!

The ceremony took place outside on the boat on the sunniest of November days! How cool is the flag they had personalized for the special day?

Nicole’s father walked her down the aisle. Look at her face as she saw Chris. Makes my heart melt.

With a kiss, their “forever” began!

At the reception, also on the boat but inside, Nicole danced with her new husband…

…and his sweet son!

They looked like movie stars as they exited in a cloud of bubbles!
Congratulations Nicole and Chris!

From the Bride
What was your favorite detail of the day? “My favorite detail of the day was the custom monogram flag that we had flying on the top deck of the boat while we cruised on the Potomac River.”

What advice would you give to a bride to be? “Get a day of coordinator! Mine made sure everything ran so smoothly!”
