Let me set the stage for you because this wedding is going to knock your socks off and is the perfect way to begin our blog series of Real Virginia Weddings! I’m Tilley and I will be guiding you through the series!
It was mid September when Scott and Candice decided that they would pledge forever to each other and with the bride being an event planner, it went off without a hitch! If you are not southern enough to know that phrase, that means it went smoothly ;).
The day was filled with sunshine (just as every bride prays for) as the ladies got ready. How adorable are these rompers?! We are loving her choice of Loren Hope earrings for the bridesmaids as well!
Candice wore a custom gown and looked gorgeous in it!
Once ready, the bridesmaids wore gorgeous J Crew mint gowns and carried cream bouquets with hints of peach and they had one of my all time favorites: lamb’s ear! Swoon! I think the lamb’s ear takes her color scheme from feeling summery to accomplishing the perfect pastel fall pallet.
Of course the grooms details were just as dapper…Blue custom suits and the groom differentiated himself by wearing a bow tie while his men rocked ties.
I love the excitement in his face as it is almost time to see his bride!
Then it was time for the formal portraits followed by the ceremony and reception at the Williamsburg Winery…enjoy!
You may not think about it, but walking back down the aisle after the ceremony is actually one of the most fun parts because you’ve got your man and you can see the joy in everyone’s faces! I can tell Candice gets what I mean.
And they partied happily ever after…
Here is a tip from the Bride herself: The big day flies by in a blink of the eye. Take a moment to step back and take it all in, savor the moment. Just let go and let it be – it’s not about how it looks, its about two people in love. When its all said and done truth is, your wedding day will be the most fun you’ve EVER had, and it will take a hell of a lot to top that! -Candice
