Massanutten is an underrated resort that is great for a winter wonderland bachelorette weekend. Even better- it’s in Virginia! Massanutten Resort is centrally located and only about 2 hours from Roanoke, Northern Virginia, and Richmond.

Suggested Itinerary

Now that you’ve digested the many options at Massanutten and in the surrounding area, here’s a suggested itinerary to make sure you make the most of your bachelorette getaway!

Thursday

  • 4pm: arrival and check-in
  • Unpack, catch up and decorate your rental for the bride to be!
  • Have groceries and dinner delivered and proceed with a fun night-in playing bachelorette games

Friday

  • Head to Virginia BBQ & Pizza Co (on property) for a light breakfast before hitting the slopes
  • Choose from skiing, snowboarding, or lounging in the ski lodge
  • After a day in the snow, head back to your rental to warm up and get ready for dinner
  • Have a nice dinner somewhere in the local area: there are great options for KoreanBBQ, Italian, and much more just a quick drive away.

Saturday

  • Have a quick breakfast in your rental
  • Attend a morning pilates, barre, or yoga class as a group. The Center Yoga Collective offers classes both in person and online!
  • After a relaxing workout class, freshen up before heading out for…
  • A tasting and lunch at CrossKey Vineyards
  • Back at the resort, choose from the several restaurants on property for dinner. Elevations Cocktail Lounge is a great choice for pre-dinner drinks before dinner at Base Camp- enjoy the live music from 7-10pm
  • Round out the evening at Light up the Park! light display through the outdoor waterpark area

Sunday

  • Check out and go to Magpie Diner– a Harrisonburg staple- for brunch before departing
