Styled shoots are a creative way for photographers, stylists, and other wedding pros, to show off their talent and visions to inspire readers for their own wedding planning.
Today’s shoot is a juxtaposition of an urban setting with history and an intimate wedding.
The Scoop: Here’s what Hive Collective who put together the shoot had to say about the backstory of how this came together.
“We wanted to let the downtown vibes of the space really shine. For our design inspiration, we wanted to embrace rich jewel tones to pair with the industrial touches of metal and brick that are peppered through the space.
We are so excited to see a warm, inviting space nestled in the heart of the city that can serve as a blank canvas for a variety of events. Whether it’s a rehearsal dinner, a birthday or anniversary, a photo shoot or wedding clients preparing for the big day, the space serves multiple purposes.
Pairing Classic Party Rentals with the eclectic, vintage wares of Paisley and Jade made the space feel cool, but still timeless.
The bright, organic blooms from Petals and Twigs really popped against the wooden hairpin farm table from Paisley and Jade and the greenery creeping up the brick walls for the ceremony was such a Richmond touch!
Another Richmond touch was the bride’s gown from Urban Set Bride. She is wearing a classic silhouette but with the added surprise of hand-applied crystals and feathers!”
What we love:
So very Richmond, right? This is what this shoot showcases by bringing together a group of talented Richmond area wedding pros to create this urban setting.
The rustic brick walls along with the rustic wood provide the perfect setting for the tablescapes and other gorgeous decor.
The rich colors make me think of jewels, which is what this shoot is- a true, gem!
And those floral touches entwined with vines is just perfect!
