Today’s whimsical featured styled shoot is perfect for summertime, the theme, Pink Lemonade.
The Scoop:
In the designer’s own words, here’s the backstory for this shoot:
Elisa decided to fuse 5 of her favorite things: Spring, Summer, Flowers, Citrus Fruits and Bright Colors! Pink Lemonade is a fun, colorful and outside the box “Sweetheart Table” inspiration. Elisa has an obsession with citrus fruit – especially lemons and limes!
The acrylic table serves as a shadow box filled with aromatic citrus fruit and colorful and vibrant flowers. Bryan Sawnn from Karin’s Florist, truly captured Elisa’s concept and exceeded her expectations (as always!). He weaved a type of banana leaves (representative of her home country – Honduras!) to create a liner to give the arrangement a solid background rich in texture. He layered fruit, flowers and berries in a way that framed the couple’s place settings. The use of hot pink napkins and cushion covers, compliment the design and make the grapefruit and flowers pop out even more. The stationery brings the concept together, while the scrumptiously delicious “Mango Mousse” is perfectly plated edible art!
What We Love:
Summer time is a time for lazy afternoons and fresh fruits, captured beautifully with Elisa’s vision.
The use of pink grapefruits sprinkled with vibrant flowers, not only adds color and texture, but is a welcome, organic deviation from the usual decor we see at weddings.
And that elegant mango mousse has our mouth watering!
