James Monroe’s Highland

James Monroe’s Highland is the historic home and property of the fifth U.S. president, James Monroe. President and Mrs. Monroe shared over 40 years as husband and wife, many of them here at the estate they called Highland, nestled in the rolling hills of Albemarle County.
