Hello! Thanks for your interest in having me photograph your wedding. Your wedding is a celebration of your story, the events that brought you together and the people who have been with you along the way. My favorite part of being a wedding photographer is relating to people, making posing for photographs a fun, relaxing and enjoyable experience. My goal is to work with you as a client to create artwork that captures all of the details of your wedding so that you can preserve this special day for the rest of your life. Your photographs will be unique and meaningful on a personal level. Photographs are the best way to preserve your special day once it is over. Photography services are tailored to your event whether an intimate elopement, second marriage or large family event. Additional services can be added with a photo booth station which includes a backdrop and props. This is a great way to add entertainment to your event and let the guests create their own memories with boomerang videos, gifs, and picture options.
I love photography and have been studying the art form for over twenty years. Besides being a professional photographer, I am also a former art teacher and mother. I graduated with a BA in Fine Art – Photography from the University of Colorado at Boulder, a MA Ed. in Art Education from The Ohio State University, and enjoy staying current with all of the technology advances in digital photography through professional organizations. Attending the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International Association conferences along with wedding networking groups are an important part of my continuing education in a constantly changing technology based art field. I am currently a board member and past president with The Professional Photographers of America and their local DC affiliate chapter. I am excited to also partner with Virginia Bride magazine and you may also find me at their wedding expos in the Northern Virginia and Coastal areas.
