Destination Weddings- Little Basin Villa Florida

Little Basin Villas is a luxurious new choice for your Florida Keys destination wedding. Located in the heart of Islamorada’s Art District near Mile Marker 81.8, this pristine venue of nine, brand-new but classic island villas is surrounded by the timeless crystal waters and white beaches the Keys are renown for. To book your stay here, you are guaranteeing yourself not only comfortable lodging, but also a memorable vacation of a lifetime.

Practically speaking, Little Basin Villas can comfortably host wedding parties of 60 to 100 guests on their property. They have wedding packages that include three-, five-, and seven-day stays. Room blocks for groups who want to stay at the Little Basin Villas but who are having their ceremony off-site are available. You are invited to find your own vendors if you wish, but the staff of Little Basin Villas is more than willing and ready to suggest some of the area’s top professional and trusted wedding vendors. The Keys were made for weddings, celebrations, and events of all kinds. There really are no restrictions on this property to speak of now, other than common courtesy, so you are welcome to stage your wedding as you see fit, which allows you maximum freedom and choice.  So go beach chic or beach glam, as long as you want to go beach.

Site fees for your wedding will include open access to the exclusive and private features of the property, an over-flow parking lot, a shuttle service, and a police officer to assist with safe street crossings. The Platinum Ground Care Package includes clean-up and maintenance of the grounds each day of your stay as well as additional trash receptacles, so everything will look and operate at its best.  There is a Tropical Plant Package from Island Home Nursery to add tropical flora to the grounds, enhancing the property’s already romantic appeal. Ask about blooming bromeliads, orchids, and the exotic Bird of Paradise. There is a Bayfront Bridal Suite upgrade that will include a Champagne Welcome Basket and housekeeping.  And the Rise & Dine Breakfast is delivered to you and your guests’ front porches each morning while you enjoy the views of the restorative, relaxing bay.

These first-class, white villas, framed by white sand and palms, include all the amenities you would need for a long stay. All villas have three bedrooms, each with its own attached, full, private bathrooms. There is also a guest bathroom off the main living area where there is a centrally located living room and a gourmet kitchen.  Kitchens are, of course, outfitted with everyday appliances, including, but not limited to, new dishwashers and garbage disposals, and they have all the necessary cookware. You can feel confident making your own meals for the times you want to stay in and feel at home. Each villa has keyless entry and exit. The Villas’ world-class amenities include free Wi-Fi, personal audio systems, and HD flat-screen smart TVs in all living rooms and bedrooms.

Once you leave the covered porches of your villa, you can enjoy the spacious community swimming pool, a Tiki hut, and fresh, white-sand beaches. There is a fun playground for those with little ones.  And on the edges of the property are the community and floating docks for launching kayaks and paddleboards right across from the protective mangroves that grow naturally all over the Keys and that provide shelter and protection to the diverse tropical wildlife you’ll witness every day.

A remarkable thing about staying at Little Basin Villas on Islamorada is how convenient it is to walk or ride a bike to restaurants, shops, and the well-stocked, family-owned Trading Post Grocery Store which is open 24-hours a day. Getting necessities is just a stroll away anytime you find you need something. Most restaurants are five stars and cater to the fresh catches from local waters as well as providing the best steak and more.  Some of the famous restaurants within walking distance are the Green Turtle Restaurant, Islamorada Fish Company, Morada Bay, Kaiyo, Pierre’s, and Chef Michael’s. The property is also located across from the five stars resort, Cheeca Lodge and Spa, with its Jack Nicklaus-designed nine-hole, three-par golf course and the Florida Keys’ premier spa.

You can rely on the renaissance Islamorada Art District to have a heady mix of art, culture, food, fun, and entertainment, making it a perfect vacation destination.  The beautiful string of islands known as Islamorada, which translates into ‘the purple isle,’ stretch for 20 miles throughout the archipelago of the Florida Keys and are full of the best of everything man and nature should offer.

In Islamorada, there are all the outdoor activities you’d expect in the Keys, such as sailing, snorkeling and diving the coral reefs, taking sunset cruises, kayaking, paddle boarding, deep sea fishing, trail biking, and exploring nature preserves. If you are interested in entertainment and culture, you’ll want to check local calendars for their music festivals and The Islamorada Art Walk.  And not only is Islamorada’s The Village Square known for boutique shopping, but also events, historical sites and museums, gourmet restaurants, full moon parties and nightly sunset celebrations. Find yourself a local, and you’ll learn that there is a party all the time to be had. Other area attractions are the Hungry Tarpon, Windley Key Fossil Park, Theater of the Sea Marine Animal Park, and the exceptional John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park.

It’s worth noting for boaters that not only is there a floating dock for launching of kayaks and paddle boards on the property, but also dockage for up to five 16’-20’ boats. Two larger marinas lie within walking distance to the East and West of the property.  Miami is the closest international airport and only one-and-a-half-hours drive from the always-sunsational Islamorada, Florida, and the pristine lifestyle of Little Basin Villas and its promise of paradise.
