Callie and Andrew met at a NASCAR race tailgate through mutual friends. Andrew had forgotten her name, but the pair chatted all day as he tried to figure it out! Eventually, he did, and they went on to date for 4 years before saying, “I do.”
Ten days before her wedding, Bride to be, Callie, went to have a fitting for her wedding dress at the dress shop. She had eyed another dress on a mannequin each time she came and that day, she couldn’t take it any longer…she had to try it on!
“Needless to say, I ended up purchasing the stunningly beautiful ivory, off-the-shoulder ballgown and it was the best (crazy) decision ever!” Callie said. We love a bride who goes after what she wants!
Like her gown, her wedding day to Andrew was also stunning. Their ceremony took place out on the Clifton’s croquet lawn with a backdrop of fully bloomed crepe myrtles and hydrangeas. It was timeless, formal, and of course, fun!
The reception was all about music and southern food. The shrimp and grits were almost as popular as the band, Liquid Pleasure. “After family dances were complete, everyone rushed to the dance floor!” Callie recalled.
The couple actually rented the Clifton Inn for the entire weekend and made the most of it with their bridal party! They had a pool party before the rehearsal and a farewell brunch on Sunday after all was said and done.
It was a weekend to remember and Callie’s advice for future brides? “To absorb every bit of bliss the day brings and to grab your new husband to admire all the love in the room of friends and family who are there supporting and celebrating YOU!”
