Sometimes it rains on your wedding day and you have to go with your Plan B! That is exactly what happened to Michelle and Stu on their big day. Fortunately, it was just a ten-minute sprinkle and they made the best of it!

“Honestly, the pictures turned out better than they would have otherwise…the mist from the rain made the ceremony feel very intimate and dreamy,” Michelle recalled. That’s the spirit!

Michelle also looked dreamy in her Aurora gown from Gaila Lahav, her gorgeous veil as her something borrowed, and her bouquet full of coral and white roses. As she glided down the aisle to “Everlong” by the Foo Fighters on that June day, in Cape Charles (at the Oyster Farm at King’s Creek), everything fell into place!

The covered set up on the boardwalk felt almost like a chapel and set the perfect tone for their ceremony. The self-proclaimed “goofy” couple exchanged goofy vows that fit their personalities perfectly.

Afterward, the reception, also at the Oyster Farm under a covered pavilion, began! They had a photo booth, a large dance floor, and of course, hundreds of salty and delicious oysters! Michelle and Stu also had signature drinks for their guests to enjoy…the Moscow Mules were called Moscow Michelle’s and Old Fashioned were called Old Fashioned Stu’s. Too cute!

Since the love birds were engaged in Hawaii, they carried a coastal feel throughout their wedding day with Tiffany blue and coral color scheme.

When the reception began, they asked all their guests to join them for their first dance which kicked off an evening of dancing perfectly! The champagne toast helped too!

When the night came to an end, guests were given macaroons to take home and lit sparklers for the newlyweds’ grand exit. Congratulations Michelle and Stu!
